This purse cake was very complicated to make so I will try to do my best to describe how I made it. The cake pictures are under their corresponding steps.
Step 1: I Baked a small cake, and cupcakes. This were chocolate and almond icing.
Step 2: Cut layers to the cake, and add icing, I let chill in the freezer before cutting the shape, that way it wont brake!
Step 3: I started giving shape to the cake, remember its a lot easier to take off cake that to paste back, so go slowly :)
Step 4: I covered the cake with brown Icing.
Step 5: I started adding the details, at first it looks weird, but dont feel discouraged, it will start looking good!
Step 6: For the brand pattern I used some pearled powder, vodka and golden coloring. Use a very small brush, and go slow.
Step 7: I added even more details, golden sugar beads, golden zipper.
Steps 8 and 9: I decorated the cupcakes with many cute girly stuff made with fondant!
Finally done! :) hope you like the cake pictures!

While the sheet cake part of this cake is fairly simple, the purse cake takes some time and patience. The sheet cake is a 11 x 15 cake iced in buttercream. Letters were cut using Funky Tappits lowercase and uppercase cutters and a mix of fondant and Tylose. For the purse cake I baked a 13 x 9 sheet cake and cut into thirds. Stack the three pieces on a cake board cut to the shape of the cake and using buttercream as a filling. Wrap several times in plastic wrap and freeze. Once frozen, unwrap cake and carve into a purse shape while frozen, rounding out top and side edges until you get the look you want. Place three dowels into cake for stability. Crumb coat the cake then cover in black fondant.
I google searched a template for the "C's". Print out on card stock, cut them out, then using a black food marker, trace the letters onto the fondant. Paint the letters silver with a mixture of silver luster dust and vodka. While the lettering dries, begin making handles, zipper and trim out of fondant. If you are good at cutting freehand, go for it! Otherwise you might want to make yourself a templates for the handles and trim.
Once you have everything cut and placed on the cake, use an embossing tool to make stitch marks on the handle and trim. Cut a strip of fondant the length of the top of the purse and about 1/4 inch wide for zipper. Use scalloped wheel of embossing tool to imprint a zipper onto the strip. For logo cut a rectangle of fondant and use embossing tool to make stitch marks around edges. Use toothpick to make letters. Decide where you would like to place the purse on the sheet cake and place a few dowels into the sheet cake. Sit purse on top of dowels. pearl necklace can be made by rolling small balls of white fondant and glued together with water or a silicone mold may be used. Make up was sculpted by hand using fondant and edible glitter. Have fun!
